What preparations are needed to participate in the game jam?
You can apply easily via Google Form. Final application is complete only after payment is confirmed. You can either pre-build a team and apply or apply as an individual and wait for team matching. Collaboration will take place through Discord and Notion, so please install these in advance.
How is team matching done
if I participate individually?
Individual applicants will be matched into teams based on their roles. Depending on the application status, certain roles might have more than one member in a team, and not all teams will consist of 4 members (considering prize distribution, teams will be composed of up to 4 members).
How do I pay the participation fee?
After completing the application via Google Form, please deposit the participation fee of 10,000 KRW to the designated account. The fee is collected to prevent no-shows and ensure smooth operation of the event. Your application is complete only after the payment is confirmed. The fee is non-refundable.
How is the award ceremony conducted?
After the game jam concludes and the evaluation process is complete, the award-winning works will be announced and the award ceremony will take place at Redbrick Connect 2024 in November 30. Award winners must attend the ceremony, and failure to attend may result in forfeiture of the prize. For overseas participants who cannot attend, a representative will accept the award on their behalf. The prize money will be awarded within two weeks after the ceremony. Award-winning works may be playable on the Redbrick platform or provided as game templates in Redbrick Studio.
When will the game jam theme be announced?
The theme will be revealed at the start of the game jam. Your task will be creating an innovative game based on the given theme.
Can I use other engines besides Redbrick Studio to create my game?
You can use Unity. Additional points will be awarded for using Redbrick Studio. To ensure fair competition and encourage creativity, commercial assets from the Unity Asset Store are not allowed in award-winning works. Please note that submitted works will be open to all participants.
What are the evaluation criteria?
To ensure fair evaluation, the following criteria will be used: Creativity (20) Technical Skill (20) Gameplay (20) Completeness (20) Teamwork (15) Bonus Points (5)
